Read along as I write about being a mom, talk about graphic design tips and ideas and what it's like being a firefighter's wife.

"Show me your teeth!"
"Show me your teeth!" was one of the titles of a Lady Gaga song I didn't know. She belted out all of her songs last night in KC. With 14 costume changes and around 5 stage changes she amazed me and kept me entertained all evening. Her concert was worth every penny and I'm glad I went.

Electricity!
Last night our power went out. It was out from 4:20 to about 9:30. We undressed little "Suggie" and let her run in her diaper. Which I literally mean "run". It was as if there was a rule to being in the nude that you have be crazy. Her hair was sticking strait up from the humidity and she was bouncing around like a little monkey. Finally at 9:30 we decided that we should take a ride in the car. Rylee was having trouble going to sleep and we were both sick of sitting in the dark. Once we had her buckled in and ready to go the power came back on. It always happens that way! So we cranked the air and drove around letting our house cool down.
I just love this little girl.

summer!
Can life get any better. Everyday I wake up so excited just to see my suggie's sweet smile. She is growing so fast and learning even more. I'm scared about how fast the time will go. When she will one day go into 3rd grade, have her first boyfriend, her first prom, making a decision on what college.... it goes by so fast. I smother her with kisses everyday.
I wish I just had more hours in the day with her...

Easter Egg Hunt!
We had a wonderful Easter. Family, friends and great food. And of course... it was Rylee's first Easter. We took her to her first Easter egg hunt. Although she wasn't able to "hunt" for them she still got to pick them up and put them in her mouth. Even though it was time for a bottle and she was a little overwhelmed by all the crazy parents running around trying to get their kid the most eggs, she did great and we had fun!

A windy day!
Today Rylee and I went to the park. Daycare is closed and Mama got to take the day off. We started out our day with a bagel for breakfast a quick doctors appt for me and then a grilled cheese for lunch. I dragged Rylee out to the park in order to just feel what it would be like taking Rylee to the park. I work, feed Rylee dinner, feed me dinner, bath time, bottle and good night. Not much room in there for the park. Weekends... well, it seems the Kansas weather has played a dirty trick on us and the last nice weekend we had poor Rylee was sick. So here was my chance to enjoy the sunshine with my babe. We lasted about 10 mins. Came out and Rylee crashed.
Do you see my teeth? How pearly white they are.

Up a little early
4 am: Shuggie wakes... crying
So we decided to bring her in our room. Poor thing could not get comfortable. She layed one way then another, then rested her head on da-da and then all of asudden she got up and holding on to da-da started bouncing up and down, then she layed down rested her head and then got up and jumped again. That went on at least 5 times. We almost started laughing out load. The room was dark but I could tell that Rylee was smiling as she jumped so we tried to contain ourselves so that she wouldn't notice how amused we were.
I plan on getting some photos of some recent freelance work together to share! So look for them later next week.

A melting heart

Yesterday Rylee went to the doctor since she's had this horrible cough and a temp. She has an ear infection, pink eye and a touch of RSV. Poor Shuggie! Her day consists of sleep, eat, play, "hold me!", suction out nose, cry, "HOLD ME!", play, eat sleep, "AGAIN, Hold ME!!!"
There is nothing worse than a sick baby.
This morning I woke up a little late and trying to rush, Rylee woke up (in the bed with me) and did not want me to put her down. How was I going to shower. After trying a few things she ended up being okay once I put her on the bathroom floor on a pillow with her rubber ducky. hahaha
Once Tony got home from work she greeted him with a kiss (a sloppy open mouth kiss) and then turned to me, threw her arms around me and grabbed on like a little spider monkey. My heart melted. There is nothing better than holding your baby.
Hopefully the little one will get better soon!

The Beginning
Today I decided to well, somewhat restart my blog. A few months ago I decided to start one but got stuck on the name. Should it be dedicated to my little girl Rylee, to my husband who works as a firefighter, or to my job as a designer. So, I pretty much summed it all up to Loving my Life.
I do... I love the fact that I talk to my parents and sister at least once everyday, that even if my baby girl wakes up at 5am its okay cause I get to see her face and hold her... I love that my husband is my best friend and that we share this great life together. I love that my dogs are always there... even when I am mad at them they still love me.
So, I don't know where I will go from here... What I will write, discuss or share but I will use this as my story. The story my my life... The life I love!
